Improving access and funding to music lessons. In action today on the floor of the House getting a question aired from a constituent. Everyone knows that giving children access to learning to play a musical instrument can give them tremendous social and academic benefits.

Canals and Waterways - Westminster Hall Debate

Very busy day in Parliament today but this morning started off with a speech to praise the amazing work of the North Walsham & Dilham Canal Trust volunteers for the incredible work they have done restoring Norfolk’s only locked sailing canal.

TAKING AID TO UKRAINE

Thank you for all you have done North Norfolk. This was an extremely emotional question for me to raise in the House earlier, especially after seeing first hand the situation in Ukraine for myself at the weekend.

Foreign Office Questions On my feet again today asking what the Foreign Office is doing to help civilians in Ukraine now suffering from a lack of water and heating because their utilities are being destroyed by Putin.

Armed Forces Retention

Our veterans are a huge part of our community in North Norfolk. Military matters are so important to us with many serving and ex service personnel living here. With this in mind I asked today what steps the MOD is taking to recruit Armed Forces personnel.

Bird Flu Epidemic

As the bird flu epidemic affects so many parts of the country, I today raised this worrying issue in the House of Commons. Especially as it feels that Norfolk is at the epicentre.

Infected Blood Scandal

I raised the situation of the infected blood scandal which has affected some of my constituents. It has been a scandal stemming back many years where patients were infected with HIV and hepatitis C through contaminated blood products imported from the US. It is thought that 2,400 people died.
