Duncan's contribution to the Post Office Debate on 24th May 2023.

Being able to live in North Norfolk and protect our communities has been a cause I have fought for tirelessly.

As a busy week draws to a close with a day out and about in the constituency, I wanted to take a moment to say a few words on this subject that is close to my heart.

*Fighting to keep Blakeney Surgery*

This morning I spoke with BBC Radio Norfolk over the extremely concerning planned closure of Blakeney Surgery.

I need your help to fight this proposal. The health services will shortly consult with local stakeholders.

It’s been a busy month around North Norfolk with some really important local and national news which will be hugely beneficial for North Norfolk.

Speech on the importance of Local Government Impartiality - Thursday 11th May.

As promised, I said I would urgently push to raise the scandal of the problem of the bonuses paid to Post Office executives for cooperating with the Horizon scandal. It is utterly wrong.

This I brought up on the floor of the House today.

Speaking in Parliament about the future of Bacton gas terminal.

I spoke in the Energy Bill about the strategic importance of Bacton, our hydrocarbon gas processing plant responsible for 1/3 of the UK’s gas supply.

It's been a busy and very memorable month, with a huge amount going on around North Norfolk. We have saved local services, seen good progress on long-standing issues, and delivered 112 generators to Lviv in Ukraine. This last point means so very much to me.
